WANT TO PITCH A STORY TO GRAPHIC FOLK?
PERENTIE PRESS is pleased to announce a new list called GRAPHIC FOLK, which will publish graphic novel adaptations of fairytales and folktales from around the world.
For the first week of December 2026 only, we will open to pitches from authors or author-illustrators who would like to write a graphic novel for this list. We welcome submissions from established and aspiring creators.
Fairytales and folktales pitched must be in the public domain and adapted from original source material (i.e. you cannot work from an existing adaptation).
When the form is live, you will be expected to include the following information in your pitch:
- about you and your writing history
- about the original fairytale or folktale you are proposing to adapt
- a logline and synopsis
- suitability for the readership (note, PERENTIE only publish graphic novels for readers 5-17)
- justification for the adaptation.
You will also have the opportunity to submit any spreads or chapters you have developed, as well as any concept art if you are an author-illustrator.
We look forward to reading your pitches!
